WhatsApp uses Status to reinforce privacy commitment

 

The Facebook is using the Status feature

to strengthen the commitment to privacy app. This week, users will find messages on the subject when accessing functionality similar to Instagram Stories.

According to the company's note to The Verge , the intention is to combat misinformation regarding the app's recent privacy rules . In this way, they will use the Status tool to communicate directly with the messenger users.

 

The message highlights that sharing WhatsApp GB  data with Facebook does not affect the way users communicate particularly. It also reinforces that the app will continue to use end-to-end encryption to protect conversations.

This is an effort by Facebook to avoid “misperceptions” about the messenger’s privacy policy. Only business accounts in the app will be affected by the new terms of the platform .
